Growing Family

On December 29, 2009 I took 2 pregnancy tests and was elated to find out that we were expecting a bundle of joy.  The following months were spent anxiously awaiting and organizing for the little ones arrival.  The expected due date was September 10th, 2010. We decorated the nursery in Dr. Seuss theme.  Since we did not know whether we were having a boy or girl we wanted to keep it neutral.  Below are pictures taken on my 29th birthday (May 9, 2010).

Here is the work in progress photo.  We painted characters from the following Dr. Seuss books, "Oh the Places You'll Go", "The Cat in the Hat", and "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish." We outlined where we thought the nursery furniture would go.

My Birthday Camping Trip

For my 29th birthday we decided it would be fun to go camping in Big Bear. We loaded up the car and went for our first Pappas family camping trip.  It was the first weekend that it opened since the snow, so it was a little chilly.  We had a great time fishing, walking, cooking, sitting around the campfire, and driving into town.

Bella was a perfect little camper.  She managed to keep us warm at night by snuggling right between us.

We saw lots of fish, but were unable to catch anything.

Bella and I found the perfect tree to take a nap under.
