Today Brylie rolled over for the first time from her back to her belly. I have not been able to successfully duplicate this action very much, but it is fun to know that she is capable of rolling when she wants to. I tried capturing her rolling over on both film and video with no luck. Below is a picture of Brylie after she completed her 1st roll.
Nick and I have been happily married for over 6 years. We are the proud parents to our beautiful girls Brylie and Graceyn. The Pappas Family Farm also stays busy with our diva dog Bella, Turtle Buddy the Tortoise, and 7 chickens. Life is such a blessing!!!

Tummy Time with Push Ups
It is amazing to see how quickly Brylie is growing up. She has gained a lot more control of her little body and is now able to push herself up into the push up position during tummy time. While on her tummy she loves to reach for her toys and kick her little legs back and forth. She still has little interest in rolling over and is content taking in the world around her. Her curiosity is growing everyday as well as her desire to start moving. I can just see the window of a stationary child is closing, and my little one is going to be mobile before I know it. I am embracing the moments where I am the primary source of mobility, but am also looking forward to watching her roll, scoot, crawl, tumble, and walk her way through life.
In her push up position. Her look says "You looking at me??"
Reaching for her toys.
Brylie's cute little body.
Laughing/ smiling. She seems so proud of herself.

Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden
Today we decided to make a trip to the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont. It was a perfectly beautiful sunny day. We really enjoyed walking throughout the gardens and learning about the plants and trees that grow throughout California. Recently I have become really into plants, and am hoping to start my own garden in the near future.

4 months old
At 4 months Brylie is 18.2 pounds of perfection!! She is in the 99.7 percentile for weight and is in the 96.8 percentile for height at 26 inches. She is our big healthy baby :) We love every inch of her.
Brylie loves:
Making noises. She loves listening to the sounds she can make with her own voice, mouth, lips and tongue. It is so cute to watch as she tests out the volume at which she can makes these noises. Sometimes she surprises herself. I can already picture her as a curious toddler full of questions about life and the world.
Brylie doesn't love:
Her car seat. There are moments when Brylie becomes unhappy with sitting in her car seat. I have found that having her teething mat or a toy to keep her occupied helps to lessen the frustrations. She is particularly not fond of her car seat in the evening.
Tender moments:
While Ally was visiting from New York she and Brylie were spending some quality time on my bed. Ally found a word that Brylie found very amusing. Ally would repeat it and Brylie had her first full on laugh attack. It lasted long enough for me to run down and grab my video camera to capture the moment. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen.
