Shelden was super excited that Brylie fell asleep in her arms.  It was adorable to watch her with Brylie.

December 30th

Nick, Dad and Barbara had a tee time in the morning, so Ally, Brylie and I had some girl time together.  We decided to bundle up and take a walk to Starbucks.  It was a chilly morning so we made sure Brylie had her hat, mittens, and Uggs on to stay warm.

Christmas Afternoon

After opening stockings with Mom and Darryl we headed over to Dad and Barbara's house for lunch and more presents.  Such a fun time.

Nick opening his helicopter.  It was so fun to watch as Dad, Ryan and Nick learned how to fly their helicopters outside.  It was only a few minutes later that Dad's got stuck in a tree and Nick lost his on a roof.  Good thing Dad and Barbara bought the extended warranty and the helicopter was able to be replaced free of charge.

Barbara and her Christmas red shirt.
Dad took this picture and labeled it "My girls."  Too cute.  I love it that we are all in green and red.  Very festive.

Christmas Morning

We drove all day Christmas Eve to make it back to California to spend Christmas with my family on Christmas.  In the morning we woke up and opened stockings.

Christmas Eve at the Big House

Christmas Eve is celebrated at the Big house.  It is so much fun to see all the kids.  There is great food, presents, and Santa even makes a visit.  This year we didn't get to see Santa because we had to start our trip back to California.
Kinley and Brylie.  It was so cute to watch all the girls hold Brylie.  She got passed around a lot. Kinley was so good with her.
Bella took a nap in the car while we spent time at the Big house.  She was resting up for our long drive back to California.
At one point during  the afternoon I went to the car to change and nurse Brylie. I was amazed to see a deer right next to us.

Christmas with the Pappas Family

Tom and Bonnie celebrate Christmas on December 23rd.  It is fun because it is the first of many Christmas gatherings with friends and family.  This year Bonnie decided that it would be fun to have the kids do a scavenger hunt to find the presents.  Angela made the adorable clues and it was so much fun watching the kids listen intently and race to the different locations throughout the house.

The reindeer cookies I made for dessert.  Angela made her beautifully delicious chocolate covered strawberries, smores, and goofballs.

Zoey, Amy, Layla and Bo finding a set of presents next to the bear.
Once they found the presents the kids would bring them back, so we could watch as they opened them. Bella helped Tom open his present.

Brylie didn't last very long.  Too much excitement for one night.
Bailey got her very own car.  Nick assembled it the day prior.

Brylie meets her friend Chloe

We went over to Todd and Gabe's to visit with friends and enjoy some dinner.  Brian and Jessica and their family came as well.  Jessica and I were pregnant during the same time and I was looking forward to the time that our two babies could meet.
Jessica, Chloe, Brylie and I.  (Brylie doesn't look very happy, but it was the only picture I have of all four of us.)
Brian and Jessica had baby Chloe a month earlier than Brylie, but you wouldn't guess it from this photo. Brylie is a big baby :)

Brylie visits with Zoey

Nick, Brylie and I went to visit with Angela, Zoey and Bailey.  We went and had a great lunch and Zoey got to spend some quality time with her cousin.

Such cute girls

Road Trip to Oregon

December 17th Nick, Brylie, Bella and I embarked on our first family road trip to Oregon.  It was actually a lot of fun to drive.  We got to spend time as a family and Brylie did a great job.  We left at about 7:30 pm and made it to Sacramento around 1:30am.  We found a hotel that did not allow dogs.  I did not like the idea of Bella sleeping in the car by herself, so Nick managed to sneak her in by wrapping her up in some baby blankets.  It was too funny.  The next morning we woke up and continued the second half of the trip.

Our changing table was the seat of Nick's car when we stopped.

Nick's co-captain for the drive.  Bella got the front seat and Brylie and I were in the back.
